How does the full scan-to-print workflow work?

There are four steps: (1) Capture — you scan your feet in the insoles4.me app or send back a foam impression kit. (2) Digital profile — our team converts your data into a 3D model of each foot. (3) Design — we shape the insole around your anatomy, your shoe, and how you use it. (4) 3D print — your pair is additively manufactured in flexible TPU at our European production facility, quality checked, and shipped to your door. How does the smartphone foot scan work?

Accepted Answer

You install the insoles4.me scanning app on an iPhone or iPad with Face ID, follow the on-screen prompts, and move the camera around each foot. The scan requires an iPhone or iPad with Face ID (TrueDepth camera) — Android phones and other devices are not supported. If you don't have a compatible device, order our free foam impression kit instead. The app captures a 3D model that is sent securely to our production team.

What if I don't have a compatible iPhone?

We also offer a foam impression kit. We ship the kit to your address, you step into the foam following the included instructions, and you return it in the prepaid envelope. We digitise the impressions and use them to design your insoles.

How long does delivery take?

Once we have your scan or foam impression, custom insoles are typically delivered within 5–7 business days. If you order a foam impression kit, the kit itself usually arrives within 3–5 business days.

Yes. Many of our customers use custom insoles for running, hiking, gym training, cycling, football, tennis, and racket sports. Because each pair is shaped around your foot and the specific shoe you have in mind, the insole helps spread load during repetitive impact and keeps the foot more stable in the shoe. Do the insoles fit into any shoe?

Accepted Answer

Custom insoles are designed to fit standard footwear with a removable existing insole — everyday shoes, work boots, safety footwear, and most sport shoes. Very low-volume shoes such as some dress shoes may have limited space. The optional fitting tool on the order page helps confirm sizing for a specific pair.

How do I reorder, and can I get a different pair for a different shoe?

Accepted Answer

Because your foot profile is stored digitally, reordering does not require a new scan. You can request another pair shaped for a different shoe (for example a second pair for running shoes or work boots) using the same underlying foot data, which we adapt to the new shoe and use case. How are the insoles produced?

Insoles are 3D printed in flexible, durable TPU at our European production facility, using established digital orthopedic production infrastructure including partners such as Plasmics and Feetneeds. Each pair is quality checked before it ships.
